What is FIG?
The Food Initiatives Group (FIG) is a local food partnership. It covers the Greater Nottingham sub-region – Broxtowe and Hucknall, Rushcliffe, Gedling and Nottingham City.

What does FIG aim to do?
FIG aims to encourage organisations and individuals to produce and eat healthy, safe and affordable food from sustainable sources, including locally grown and organic food.
In working towards its aims, FIG seeks to:

Promote healthy, affordable, safe food with a particular focus on people with low incomes and from diverse cultures. |

Protect the environment through promoting local organic food production and consumption, which leads to less pollution, transport and food packaging. |

Support the local economy by creating jobs and promoting sustainable enterprise. |
