In working towards its aims, FIG seeks to:

Promote healthy, affordable, safe food with a particular focus on people with low incomes and from diverse cultures.
Protect the environment through promoting local organic food production and consumption, which leads to less pollution, transport and food packaging.
Support the local economy by creating jobs and promoting sustainable enterprise.

What kind of work is FIG doing locally to achieve its aims?

Raising awareness of food poverty and inequality
Promoting its Food, Health and Environment strategy

Nottingham City PCT, Nottinghamshire County Teaching PCT, Nottinghamshire County Council and ONE Nottingham Partnership are financially supporting the work of the FIG partnership.
