RELEASE DATE 30 November 2006
TITLE BIG LOTTERY IN ST ANNS

Money from the Big Lottery Fund is being spent locally at the St Anns adventure play centre. This is part of a nationwide fund that came from the ‘Peoples Millions’ public vote earlier this year in April.

On Thursday 30th November representatives from the Big lottery will be coming to view the project. ‘Its looking really good now’ said Chryse Tinsley, Groundwork Greater Nottingham's Landscape Architect, who is currently working on the project. Chryse Tinsley continued, "You can see the new playground from St Anns Well Road."

Children and staff at the centre have expressed their pleasure with the progress made on the project; for staff working at the centre, the downside being that they are now out of doors all the time as the children just want to play on the park. In addition to children who regularly use the centre, children from local schools and centres are also using the new park.

The main parts of the park are now complete but there are still further improvements planned. These include a seating area and additional planting. Plans have been made to make these improvements in the new year.

For more information, please contact Chryse Tinsley on 0115 9788212.
